Noncommercial Educational Broadcasting Compulsory License

The Librarian of Congress, upon the recommendation of the Register of Copyrights, is announcing the rates and terms of the noncommercial educational broadcasting compulsory license for the use of music in the repertoires of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and Broadcast Music, Inc. by the Public Broadcasting Service, National Public Radio and other public broadcasting entities as defined in 37 CFR 253.2, for the period 1998- 2002. The Librarian is adopting the determination of the Copyright Arbitration Royalty Panel (CARP).
