US Agencies Announce One-Year Finding on Petition to List Atlantic Sturgeon as Endangered or Threatened

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) have made a one-year finding on a petition to list the Atlantic sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrinchus oxyrinchus) as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, concluding that listing is not warranted at this time due to insufficient scientific evidence.
