Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for Fort Pickett, Virginia, Released by BRAC 95

The Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission recommended the closure of Fort Pickett, Virginia, except for minimum essential ranges, facilities, and training areas, which will be maintained as a Reserve Component enclave. The Army has completed a Final Environmental Assessment evaluating the environmental and sociological impacts of the disposal and reuse of the 3,474-acre property, considering alternatives such as encumbered disposal and no action.
