US Proposes Regulations to Exempt Railroad Employers from Supplemental Annuity Tax

The Railroad Retirement Board has proposed new regulations that would allow railroad employers to avoid a supplemental tax on employee annuities, effective January 1, 2025, and invites public comment on the proposed rules, with a public hearing scheduled for November 2024.
