National Park Service Releases Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Whiskeytown Unit

The National Park Service has released a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the General Management Plan of the Whiskeytown Unit in the Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area, California. The plan, which will guide management for the next 15 years, proposes three alternatives for managing the unit, including preserving natural and cultural resources and restoring the backcountry.
