Gulkana National Wild River Moratorium on New Commercial Operations
The U.S. government has announced a three-year moratorium on new commercial operations on the Gulkana National Wild River, effective from the start of the upcoming Limits of Acceptable Change planning process. The temporary ban aims to stabilize the number of users and user days associated with commercial outfitters during the plan's update, which is expected to be completed by December 2023.
