HUD Publishes Final FY 1999 Fair Market Rents for Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released the final Fair Market Rents (FMRs) for Fiscal Year 1999, which will take effect on October 1, 1999. The updated FMRs reflect changes in nine areas based on public comments and two areas resulting from HUD-contracted Random Digit Dialing surveys, as well as reductions in 12 areas previously proposed in May 1998.
