DOE Announces Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Transfer of Heat Source/RTG Operations from Mound Site

The US Department of Energy (DOE) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate the proposed transfer of Heat Source/Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator (HS/RTG) operations from the Mound Site in Ohio to alternative DOE sites, including Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Pantex Plant, and the Nevada Test Site, among others.
