Federal Agencies Propose Guidelines to Combat Identity Theft and Address Discrepancies

The OCC, Board, FDIC, OTS, NCUA, and FTC are seeking public comment on a proposal to implement guidelines and regulations aimed at identifying and preventing identity theft, as well as ensuring accurate address information in consumer reports.
