US Department of Commerce Removes Audit Requirements for State and Local Governments and Non-Profit Organizations

The US Department of Commerce (DoC) has removed two audit requirements, 15 CFR Part 29a and 15 CFR Part 29b, which governed audits of state and local governments and non-profit organizations, respectively. The move follows revisions to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, which established uniform audit requirements for non-Federal entities that administer Federal awards.
