Public Lands Closure in Malheur County, OR: Restrictions on Vehicle Operation and Campfires

The US government has closed public lands in the Birch Creek Ranch area of Malheur County, Oregon, to vehicle operation and open campfires, except for designated areas, to protect cultural sites, wildlife habitats, and soil and water resources, as well as reduce fire risk. Dispersed walk-in camping is still permitted, but with existing fire and toilet regulations.
