Federal Acquisition Regulation Reform: Eligibility for Small Disadvantaged Businesses in Federal Procurement
The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) allows eligible small disadvantaged businesses (SDBs) to receive price evaluation adjustments in federal procurement programs, with the Department of Commerce determining the adjustments based on standard industrial classification (SIC) major groups and regions. The FAR was updated in 1998 to include a list of states and outlying areas for the nine regions.
