US Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Suction Dredging Project in Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho

The US Forest Service will prepare an environmental impact statement to assess the effects of suction dredging on a gold claim in the Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho. The claimant plans to use two suction dredges to extract gold from gravel and bedrock in Red River over a five-year period, weather permitting.
