BLM to Prepare Resource Management Plan Amendment and Environmental Impact Statement for Fluid Minerals Leasing in New Mexico

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will direct the preparation of a Resource Management Plan Amendment (RMPA) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for fluid minerals leasing on public land in Otero and Sierra Counties, New Mexico, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA). The public will have opportunities to attend informal scoping meetings to provide input on the plan.
