EPA Finalizes Rule to Reduce Ozone Transport Across US States

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized a rule requiring 22 states and the District of Columbia to submit revised State implementation plans to limit nitrogen oxide emissions, a key precursor to ozone pollution, in an effort to reduce regional transport of ozone across state borders in the eastern United States.
