U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Proposes to List Short-Tailed Albatross as Endangered in the United States
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposes to extend endangered status for the short-tailed albatross to include its range within the United States, due to a significant decline in its global population, which has dropped from millions to less than 1000 individuals, primarily due to habitat destruction and demographic threats.
