Advisory Committee on Public Interest Obligations of Digital Television Broadcasters to Meet in November, National Telecommunications and Information Administration to Serve as Secretariat

The President of the United States has established the Advisory Committee on Public Interest Obligations of Digital Television Broadcasters (PIAC) to provide guidance on public interest obligations for digital broadcasters. The Committee will study and make recommendations on which public interest obligations should accompany digital television licenses, with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration serving as its secretariat.
