US Department of Agriculture Relaxes Quality Requirements for California Nectarines and Peaches

The US Department of Agriculture has adopted a final rule to relax quality requirements for California-grown nectarines and peaches, allowing more U.S. No. 1 fruit to be packed in containers marked 'CA Utility' for the remainder of the 1998 season.
