FAA Proposes Expansion of Gulf of Mexico High Offshore Airspace Area

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a modification to the Gulf of Mexico High Offshore Airspace Area, extending its boundaries to the Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center's Flight Information Region/Control Area and increasing its vertical limits to up to Flight Level 600, in an effort to enhance efficient airspace utilization and support domestic air traffic procedures.
