EPA Adopts Federal Plan for Large Municipal Waste Combustors in Areas Without State Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has promulgated a federal plan to implement emission guidelines for large municipal waste combustors in areas without an approved state plan, which will take effect on December 19, 1996, and will be phased out once a state plan is implemented.
