Drawbridge Operating Regulation; Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, TX

The Commander, Eighth Coast Guard District has issued a temporary deviation from the regulation in 33 CFR 117.5 governing the operation of the FM 457 pontoon drawbridge across the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, mile 418.0, west of Harvey Locks, near Sargent, Matagorda County, Texas. This deviation allows the Texas Department of Transportation to close the bridge from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 1998. This temporary deviation is issued to allow for scheduled maintenance to the swing span and its mechanical components.
