USDA Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Douglas-Fir Bark Beetle Project in Idaho and Washington

The USDA Forest Service will assess the potential environmental impacts of proposed activities in forest stands infested with Douglas-fir bark beetles, including fuel reduction and ecosystem restoration efforts in the Priest Lake and Newport Ranger Districts, to benefit aquatic, watershed, and wildlife habitats.
