USDA Announces Proposed 1999 Peanut Quota Range

The US Department of Agriculture must announce the national peanut poundage quota for the 1999 crop by December 15, 1998, as mandated by the 1938 Agricultural Adjustment Act. The proposed rule suggests a quota range of 1,175,000 to 1,225,000 short tons.
