Miscellaneous Amendments to Rules of Practice and Procedure

The Federal Maritime Commission intends to make corrections and changes to existing regulations to update and improve them, and to conform them to and implement the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 1998. At the same time, the Commission is restructuring all of its rules and regulations. (See Tables herein.) This proposed rule would modify part 502 (Rules of Practice and Procedure) and part 571 (to be redesignated as part 545) (Interpretations and Statements of Policy).
