Culturally Significant Objects Imported For Exhibition Determinations

The U.S. government has made determinations regarding the importation of a culturally significant object for a temporary exhibition at The Grolier Club in New York. The object, a portion of the Library of Duke August of Brumswick-Wolfenbuttel, was imported from abroad without profit and is to be displayed from December 8, 1998, to February 6, 1999. This decision was made under the authority of the Act of October 19, 1965, and is intended to be in the national interest.
