Medicare Program Recognizes NAIC Model Standards for Regulation of Medicare Supplemental Insurance

The Medicare Program has recognized the NAIC Model Regulation for Medicare supplemental insurance, which was adopted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in 1998 and corrected by HCFA, as the applicable standard for Medicare supplemental insurance policies.
