Dependents Education: Increase in Educational Assistance Rates

A provision of the Internal Revenue Service Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998 provides for an increase of approximately 20% in educational assistance rates payable under Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA) effective October 1, 1998. The regulations governing those rates are changed to show the rates indicated in the Act.
