National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Officially Recognized by US Government

The United States government officially recognized December 7, 1998, as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, a day to honor the lives lost during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. This designation was made in response to a request from Congress.
