Safety Zone: Explosive Load, Bath Iron Works, Bath, ME

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone to close a portion of the Kennebec River to waterway traffic in a 400 foot radius around Bath Iron Works, Bath, ME, for an explosive load, from 6 a.m. November 25, 1998 through 12 p.m. December 23, 1998. This safety zone is needed to protect persons, facilities, vessels and others in the maritime community from the safety hazards associated with the handling and transportation of explosives. Entry into this safety zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port.
