IRS Issues Temporary Regulations for Credit Card and Debit Card Tax Payments, Proposes Changes for Check and Money Order Payments

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has issued temporary regulations for paying internal revenue taxes by credit card or debit card, while also proposing changes to require payments by check or money order to be made payable to the United States Treasury, as part of the Internal Revenue Service Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998.
