NHTSA Withdraws Proposed Rule on Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has withdrawn a proposed rule that aimed to modify Federal motor vehicle safety standard No. 210, requiring the measurement of lap belt angle for rear adjustable seats in their rearmost position, citing concerns that it may compromise vehicle safety and affect some front adjustable anchorage locations.
