Raytheon Proposes Revision to Airworthiness Directive for Beech Models 1900, 1900C, and 1900D Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a proposed revision to Airworthiness Directive (AD) 97-15-13 R1, which aims to prevent moisture accumulation in the airstair door handle and latch housing of certain Beech Models 1900, 1900C, and 1900D airplanes, manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft Company. The proposed revision would retain the existing actions and incorporate a revised service bulletin to ensure the door can be safely evacuated in emergency situations.
