Proposed Amendment to Class E Airspace; York PA

This notice proposes to amend the Class E airspace area at York, PA. The development of a new Standard Instrument Approach Procedure (SIAP), Helicopter Point In Space Approach, based on the Global Positioning System (GPS), and serving the York Hospital Heliport has made this proposal necessary. Additional controlled airspace extending upward from 700 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) is needed to accommodate the SIAP and for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations to the heliport.
