McDonnell Douglas MD-11 Series Airplanes Equipped with Certain Collins LRA-900 Radio Altimeters Must Comply with New Airworthiness Directive

The Federal Register has published an amendment to airworthiness directive T98-24-51, which requires U.S. owners and operators of affected MD-11 series planes to revise their Airplane Flight Manuals or replace faulty Collins LRA-900 radio altimeters with Collins LRA-700 models to prevent hard landings.
