FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for British Aerospace BAe Model ATP Airplanes
The FAA has issued an airworthiness directive (AD) requiring repetitive inspections and testing of British Aerospace BAe Model ATP airplanes to address wear damage on the nosewheel steering control cables and seizing of the cable pulleys. This measure aims to prevent nosewheel steering failure and NLG collapse, which could lead to injuries to flightcrew and passengers.
