Federal Acquisition Regulation; Conforming Late Offer Treatment

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council are proposing to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to align guidance regarding receipt of late offers for commercial, sealed bid, and negotiated acquisitions, in order to provide more consistency and fairness for government agencies and contractors. The proposed changes aim to clarify the treatment of late offers in various types of acquisitions, with the goal of reducing confusion and improving the overall procurement process.
