CFTC Seeks Public Comment on UK Capital Comparability Determination Request

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is seeking public input on a request from the Institute of International Bankers, International Swaps and Derivatives Association, and Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association to determine if the UK's capital and financial reporting laws meet CFTC standards for swap dealers based in the UK. The CFTC is also proposing a rule allowing UK-based swap dealers to use alternative compliance methods.
