FCC to Enforce Changes to Long-Distance Carrier Selection Under 1996 Telecommunications Act

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will implement new rules requiring consumers to select their long-distance carriers from a list of approved providers, in compliance with the Telecommunications Act of 1996, and will crack down on unauthorized changes to these carriers.
