The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has allocated Channel 282A to Sibley, Iowa, as the town's second local FM radio station, following a request from 21st Century Radio Ventures, Inc. The new station will be located 1.3 kilometers west of the existing Station KUOO-FM, Channel 280C2, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, to meet the FCC's minimum distance separation requirements.
