Receipt of Application for a Presidential Permit for Pipeline Facilities To Be Converted To Crude Oil Service on the Border of the United States

The Department of State has received an application from Portland Pipe Line Corporation to convert an existing pipeline to crude oil service, spanning the US-Canada border, with plans to complete the conversion by October 1, 1999. The pipeline, currently used for natural gas transmission, has been leased to Granite State Gas Transmission, Inc. since 1987.
