IRS to Establish Federally Funded Research and Development Center for Tax System Modernization

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) plans to establish a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) to provide technical assistance and strategic guidance to the IRS and its contractors, focusing on improving information management and technical activities. The FFRDC will be established under the authority of 48 CFR Subpart 35.017 and Office of Federal Procurement Policy Letter 84-1.
