FTC Amends Appliance Labeling Rule to Update Energy Consumption and Water Use Labels

The Federal Trade Commission has updated the Appliance Labeling Rule to reflect changes in energy consumption and water use for various home appliances, including gas-fired water heaters, compact dishwashers, and air conditioners, and will maintain current labels for other appliances until further notice.
