Union Pacific Railroad Company to Implement Environmental Mitigation Measures Following Southern Pacific Merger Approval

The Surface Transportation Board has approved a preliminary mitigation plan for the Union Pacific/Southern Pacific merger, which includes tailored environmental measures to address unique local conditions in Reno and Washoe County, and will be available for public review and comment until October 15, 1997.
