Authorization to Take Marine Mammals Issued for Oil and Gas Activities

The U.S. government has issued 1-year permits to several oil and gas companies to incidentally catch bottlenose and spotted dolphins during the removal of oil and gas structures, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
