EPA Removes Texas Employee Commute Options Rule from State Implementation Plan

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved Texas' request to remove the Employee Commute Options (ECO) rule from its State Implementation Plan, effectively relieving the state from mandatory implementation of the program in the Houston-Galveston ozone nonattainment area, as required by Public Law 104-70 and EPA policy issued on April 23, 1996.
