EPA Approves Texas' Removal of Employee Commute Options Rule from State Implementation Plan

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed removing the Texas Employee Commute Options (ECO) rule from the State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of Texas, which would relieve the state from mandatory implementation of the ECO program in the Houston-Galveston ozone nonattainment area, effective April 23, 1996.
