Temporary Closure and Restrictions on Public Lands; Silver Saddle Ranch; Carson City, NV

The Bureau of Land Management recently completed a land exchange resulting in the transfer of the Silver Ranch in Carson City from private to public ownership. The ranch includes homes, buildings, fences and sensitive river and meadow lands. Immediate action is needed to protect features until measures can be implemented to provide adequate on site management and protection. Acquired lands on the west side of the Carson River are temporarily closed to public use. Lands on the east side of the Carson River are open to public use with restrictions on off-highway vehicle use, shooting and overnight camping.
