Social Security Administration Proposes Changes to Administrative Review Process for Quality Review

The Social Security Administration is proposing new rules to improve the accuracy of decisions made by administrative law judges during the hearing level of the administrative review process, and to enhance quality assurance procedures for cases that are subject to review under the Appeals Council's own-motion authority.
