UAW Seeks Exemption from ERISA Restrictions for Retiree VEBA Settlement

The United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) has submitted a proposed exemption to the Department of Labor to allow the UAW Retiree VEBA to receive a note from the UAW and collateral on the note from the Retiree VEBA in connection with a court-approved settlement agreement.
