EPA Clears Way for Offshore Oil and Gas Lease Sale 170 in Beaufort Sea, Alaska

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has expressed concerns about potential environmental impacts of an offshore oil and gas lease sale in the Beaufort Sea, Alaska, but does not foresee any objections to the proposed project, which is scheduled to take place in the Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Lease Sale 170 (1997) in the North Slope Borough of Alaska.
